This weekend saw the official start to spring. I hear a sigh of relief from everyone as everyone talks wherever you go about our long cold and very harsh winter months. We walked yesterday at wonderful Kingston Lacy with spring flowers everywhere.Taking a short rest on a bench part way round, we had a wonderful conversation with a very elderly lady of some means who wanted to share with us her opinions on the state of the world. Obviously alone on her coach trip from Bristol she loved to talk to everyone she said. She really was a joy to talk with, with her total irreverence for life and anything remotely PC, she had us in hoots of laughter as she put the world to rights, and commented on everything from how little clothes our young wear today, to the cost of property and the sleaze of our ministers running the country.

I had the sense of freedom in our conversations as she (Anne) didn't give a jot about life today, and very much well into her late 70's or early 80's ,she really was a breath of fresh spring air sitting in the gentle sunshine on this glorious spring equinox day.

Did you know it was the equinox and the first official day of spring? Is there a spring in your step as we look forward to warmer weather and long hot summer days? If not take a look at InspirationPlus we can put that spring back for you with a whole heap of Zing and Tonic. InspirationPlus is always the place to be, and the people to be with who care about you ,what ever the time of year or whatever the weather.

At last is Spring sprung, we all hope so, it is late this year and we have all had enough of the cold, ice and snow I think?

An explosive subject matter to which most people recoil in horror and think 'why on earth talk about such a morbid subject?' Well, actually for that very reason, the misconceptions being it is rarely spoken of because it is mainly feared, and that it is morbid. Let me enlighten you, it is not, the fact is it remains the only other thing other than change, that is certain about life, that is death. Why is it not spoken of openly, the reasons are many and varied in truth. So here it is, the perfect opportunity to air this subject on a fresh and new playing field. With inspired discussion, loving and experienced speakers with a variety of  training and life experiences to call on.

A new group in Poole began this week with the speaker Judith Pidgeon speaking on 'A Good Death' what does that mean to you, and what would this ideal death be?A sensitive and educated presentation that inspired all present ,after which lively discussion followed. This truly was an opportunity to explore the subject and listen to an articulate speaker with so much knowledge and life experience. Much was understood and achieved at just how connected to life and living the death process has to be.

Everyone expressed their complete joy at being able to be a part of such a group. They all look forward with great excitement to the coming months, to a varied line up of speakers with death and dying experiences that will uplift, inform and bring peace to a subject too long kept under wraps.

I have a strong feeling that in todays world we all need to look at our suppot structures.

Life moves so very fast, much is demanded by our lives and there seems to be less and less time for ourselves.

Its like we cease to matter, all that matters is outside of ourselves, getting the job done on time, getting the kids to school on time, getting meals on time, and getting out on time.

I realise just how much time governs our lives, so, does time exsist or is it all an illusion? My work is very focussed on helping folk let go of what doesn't support them and guide them to what does. So whilst looking at the body as a temple I feel  it vitally important to look carefully at where the pillars of strength lie that support the bodyself.

Its often the case that people don't even know where thier support comes from, or in fact that they actually need any at all they are so caught up in time and the struggle to keep up with it.

Pillars of strength constantly need reinforcing and just like a boat goes to sea with an anchor, without it when the storm comes and you head for a safe haven to drop anchor, so without the reinforcement of your pillars they too will weaken and crumble.

    Where do your pillars exsist?

Some of you may recognise that this is a subject rather near to my heart, but just for a moment I have a different slant on it.

You may observe that on my first ever blog, so far I have received 3 comments, thank you I am thrilled. What captured me most though was firstly that all three replies were from men? Now I ask, was that because the word 'scrappage' was in the title? Men - cars - hence connection with the word 'scrappage'? I don't know, and I'm not making judgements at all only observing, but I couldn't help musing on this, which leads me to another strange thing with my valued 3 commenters (sorry, not sure that's even a word, grammarians, forgiveness please). Any way, the three gentlemen in question all have an amazing thing in common, they all share the same name, either first or second, is that slightly spooky or what?

And so to continue on this subject of 'what's in a name?' I became rather sensitive to my name at a certain stage in my life when it became very important for me to change my given name of Valerie to Valery. Moreover, it was even more important to me to be called Valery, it felt like I definitely wasn't a 'VAL' any more. The whole name jarred badly on my sensitivities and Valery felt much more gentle and flowing an energy rather than the clip almost sharp feeling of 'VAL'. You will realise I am talking personally here as I do know one or two very happy Val's  as I once was.

So what is in a name? Well there is an energy a vibration of course just as there is in everything. As we think so we become, I make reference once again to my present source of inspiration, Mike Dooley with his 'Thoughts become Things, be sure and choose good ones' see www.tut.com.

One name that always holds a special vibration for me is the name Diana or Diane, so many girls I know with this name shorten it and get called Di, they even sign there name in this way. I learnt many years ago that shortening a name reduces the power of it, food for thought I think?Think on some more, die is something we are all heading for one day but I certainly don't want to speed up the process any faster. The most famous Diana of all of course did, die that is, and of course was known as Lady Di. Oh dear you may think, what a load of rubbish, but I think not and encourage you to think on. Everything you see is energy, every letter every number, every thought word and deed.

Do you find it interesting how patterns seem to form with incredible ease around seemingly simple things?

For instance there seem to be patterns rising for the so called epidemics we become informed of and increasingly scared of. The FEAR police (media/governments etc) are doing a grand job in scaring the living daylights out of the population and the message is get ‘a jab’ against everything these days.

Those of us who have trodden a different path and really know where the truth lies choose to take responsibility for who we are and approach this differently. That by the way, doesn’t make us right, it just means we have chosen to become more informed.

Many buy into the news that the cold and flu season have arrived, so now you see we have created a season for illness how inspired is that. If you accept that ‘Thoughts become Things’ like my friend Mike Dooley www.tut.com then lets for a moment try and get our heads around this shall we?

If our beliefs formed from those thoughts, aided by the media hype and backed up by others around us believe that when a certain season arrives so do colds and flu, then that my friends is what we most certainly will get.

If you believe you have a choice to take control of your health and create your own experiences with it then practice affirming daily ‘I choose to be well’ ‘Every day and every way I get better and better’ ‘I maintain good health with good thoughts and deeds’ ‘Good health flows easily to me’ ‘I create well-being and amazing health in my life’.

Put that tissue box away, and know that if a cold comes your body is simply reminding you to let go, stress less, drink more water, and detox those toxins from your system. A cold can be a clearing and always a good thing, don’t think you’ve failed by getting one, welcome it and let go for a time.

Remember this, this is not a dress rehearsal, you chose your vehicle to drive in this life time. Treat it with respect, there’s no scrappage on offer here. Put in the oil/water/nutrition and get the vehicle checked over from time to time and all will be well.

The choice is always yours, after all this IS your life; nobody knows your body like you do, when it talks to you, talk back!!
