About Valery CoburnAfter many years of searching to improve her own ill health and that of her son Valery’s passion for optimum well-being led her in 1989 to open a health food shop and vegetarian café. Being able to share all of the information she had accumulated to that point was as important as creating the exceptional food that the café served. In a short time she was opening up her small venue in the evening to speakers from all the diverse disciplines in the world of healing and complimentary medicine. To her surprise people came from far and wide and word was out that this tiny venue was something pretty special. Her passion for acquiring knowledge and ensuring that the source of all she sold was authentic and true is part of the energy that she shares with all today. After five and half years of what Stephen described as a totally unique University education, Valery felt she was Jack of all trades and master of none. She continued running her own groups and workshops on personal and spiritual growth, and then went on to spend another seven years furthering her education in the world of nutrition, expanding her knowledge in the field of safe and effective products and working within a large group of health professionals, learning that what you put on the body is as important as what you put in it. In 1997 her journey led her on to a more spiritual path, having met many inspired teachers along the way and studied and explored many teachings, Valery studied with the Interfaith Seminary to become an Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Counsellor. Never having before felt remotely connected to a religion as such, this wonderful open hearted training allowed her to uncover parts of herself that she didn’t know existed; she described the experience as a journey to self. Much challenged at times and long since having made the connection of the more practical and physical aspects of our humanness, she was now into the realisation that there was way more to life than this. During this time she came to realise just how natural and at times familiar everything was to her, but it wasn’t until her ordination that the enormity of her personal achievement dawned. “ Nearly nine years down the line the journey continues and today life is a joy as I am able to share with others that innate sense of self, my deep understanding of humanity, and my love of life and wisdom that exists within us all. Sometimes I can still get in my own way, but working with others either one to one or in the groups that I still facilitate, realise that all people and all of life are my teachers. I have learnt that nothing happens for nothing, there is no such thing as right or wrong, and that happiness is not a journey simply a choice. I know that there is no separation that we are all one, and that I am here to serve in an inclusive global spirituality”. As the founder of InspirationPlus five years ago, Valery with Stephen has now incorporated The Energy Clinic as the facility to combine education and inspiration leading to optimum health in balance and harmony with mind, body and soul.
